The manufacture of PEEK plastic balls is generally divided into two processes to achieve: machine tool processing and injection molding processing
1. Machine tool processing uses a CNC lathe to process PEEK rods into rough balls of PEEK plastic balls of required specifications, and then grind them with a special plastic ball mill, and then polish them after lapping. Generally, the size of lathe processing is relatively large. PEEK plastic balls, PEEK plastic balls with a diameter of more than 30mm are basically manufactured by data lathes.
2. Injection processing is to use a mold to inject PEEK material into a PEEK plastic ball. The processing of the rough ball is the same as the processing of other plastic balls. A special ball milling machine for plastic balls is also required to grind the PEEK plastic ball. The ground PEEK ball is polished, and the injection molding process is suitable for small PEEK balls. Because it involves mold opening, PEEK balls with large orders are also suitable for injection molding.
